Our client, a reputable and growing insurance provider, is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Insurance Claims Adjuster to join their team in Chandigarh, Chandigarh, IN . This is an on-site role where you will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and negotiating insurance claims to ensure fair and timely resolution for policyholders.

As a Claims Adjuster, you will manage a caseload of diverse insurance claims, from initial reporting through to final settlement. Your duties will include interviewing claimants and witnesses, inspecting damaged property, reviewing policy coverage, and determining liability. You will need to gather and analyze evidence, assess the extent of damages or losses, and calculate the appropriate compensation amount in accordance with policy terms and company guidelines. Building strong rapport with clients and maintaining clear, professional communication throughout the claims process is essential.

Key responsibilities include:

Investigating insurance claims by gathering information from claimants, witnesses, and other relevant parties. Reviewing insurance policies to determine coverage and assess claim validity. Inspecting damaged property, vehicles, or other assets to evaluate the extent of loss or damage. Analyzing claim details, documentation, and evidence to determine liability and compensable damages. Negotiating settlements with policyholders and third-party representatives. Calculating and authorizing claim payments within prescribed limits. Preparing detailed reports documenting claim investigations, findings, and recommendations. Maintaining accurate and organized claim files and records. Ensuring compliance with all relevant insurance regulations and company policies. Providing excellent customer service and maintaining professional communication with all stakeholders. Identifying potential fraud and escalating suspicious claims for further investigation. Staying updated on industry trends, legal requirements, and best practices in claims handling. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a related field. Prior experience in claims adjusting, insurance, or a closely related field is highly preferred. Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills are a must. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with clients and legal professionals. You should have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to manage a demanding workload independently. Familiarity with claims management software is advantageous for this role within our client's established firm.
