Farm Manager - Large Scale Operations

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Farm Manager to oversee extensive agricultural operations in Jaipur, Rajasthan, IN . This critical role requires a proven leader with a deep understanding of modern farming techniques, crop cultivation, livestock management (if applicable), and resource optimization. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the farm's daily operations, ensuring profitability, sustainability, and adherence to best practices.

Key responsibilities include:

Developing and implementing comprehensive farm management plans to achieve production goals and financial targets. Overseeing daily farm operations, including planting, cultivation, harvesting, irrigation, and pest/disease control. Managing and supervising farm staff, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and scheduling. Ensuring the efficient and cost-effective use of resources, including labor, machinery, water, fertilizers, and pesticides. Maintaining farm equipment and infrastructure, ensuring they are in good working order and undertaking necessary repairs or upgrades. Managing inventory of seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and other agricultural inputs. Monitoring crop health and yield, implementing corrective actions as needed. Ensuring compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations. Managing budgets, tracking expenses, and reporting on farm performance to senior management. Establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers, buyers, and other stakeholders in the agricultural industry. Implementing and promoting sustainable farming practices to ensure long-term land productivity and environmental stewardship. Keeping abreast of new agricultural technologies, research, and market trends. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agribusiness Management, or a related field. A minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in farm management, with a strong track record of successfully managing large-scale agricultural operations, is required. Demonstrated expertise in crop production specific to the region, and knowledge of modern farming technologies and practices are essential. Excellent leadership, financial management, and problem-solving skills are crucial. The ability to motivate a team and make sound operational decisions under pressure is paramount. Experience with precision agriculture techniques and farm management software is highly desirable.
