Agronomist and Crop Management Specialist

Our client, a progressive agricultural enterprise, is looking for an experienced Agronomist and Crop Management Specialist to oversee operations in Jaipur, Rajasthan, IN . This is a field-based position, demanding hands-on involvement in all aspects of crop cultivation and management. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced agronomic practices to maximize yield and quality while ensuring sustainable farming methods. This includes soil analysis, crop planning, pest and disease management, irrigation scheduling, and the application of fertilizers and other treatments. You will work closely with farm managers and agricultural laborers, providing technical guidance and training to ensure efficient and effective operations. Responsibilities also encompass monitoring weather patterns, adapting strategies to environmental conditions, and evaluating new agricultural technologies and techniques for potential adoption. A key aspect of this role involves maintaining detailed records of all farming activities, inputs, and outcomes, and generating reports to assess performance and identify areas for improvement. You will be expected to stay abreast of the latest research and developments in agronomy and agricultural science, applying this knowledge to optimize farm productivity. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of crop physiology, soil science, and integrated pest management. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions in dynamic field conditions are essential. A bachelor's or master's degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related agricultural science field is required. Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in large-scale farming operations, is highly desirable. Strong leadership and communication skills are needed to effectively manage teams and liaise with stakeholders.
