Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Writer role based in Washington, DC. The Writer will develop and refine written content for a variety of audio and digital formats, including show scripts, segment intros, promotional copy, and marketing materials that align with SiriusXM’s brand voice. Day-to-day responsibilities include researching topics, interviewing internal stakeholders or external guests as needed, and transforming complex ideas into clear, engaging narratives. The role involves collaborating closely with producers, hosts, editors, and marketing teams to ensure content accuracy, consistency, and timeliness. The Writer will also revise content based on editorial feedback, maintain style and tone guidelines, and support content planning for programming, podcast, and campaign calendars.

Qualifications

• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style for different shows, formats, and audiences.
• Experience in content development for media, audio, podcasting, or digital platforms, including scripting and story development.
• Excellent research and fact-checking skills, with attention to detail and accuracy under tight deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including producers, hosts, marketers, and designers.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities.
• Familiarity with audio production workflows, podcast publishing, or broadcast environments is highly beneficial.
• Comfort working with content management systems and basic digital tools for drafting, revising, and tracking content.
• Demonstrated interest in music, talk, news, sports, comedy, or podcasting and an understanding of audience engagement in these genres.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Media Studies, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
