Registered Nurse / Nurse Practitioner

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru for a Registered Nurse / Nurse Practitioner specializing in oncology care. The professional in this role will provide direct patient care, including assessment, monitoring of vital signs, administration of medications and infusions, and management of treatment-related side effects. They will assist with coordinating patient visits, preparing patients for procedures, collecting clinical data, and supporting informed consent processes for clinical studies. The role includes educating patients and families about treatment plans, symptom management, and follow-up care, as well as maintaining accurate, timely documentation in medical records and research forms. The nurse will collaborate closely with oncologists, study coordinators, and other healthcare professionals to support safe, high-quality care and adherence to clinical protocols and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Strong clinical nursing skills in assessment, medication administration, infusion therapy, and symptom management, ideally within oncology or a related specialty.
• Experience in clinical research settings, including working with clinical protocols, data collection, and documentation of adverse events, is highly beneficial.
• Ability to educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment plans, side-effect management, and supportive care in a clear and compassionate manner.
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate electronic and paper medical records, completing nursing documentation, and following institutional and regulatory standards.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with physicians, study coordinators, pharmacists, and support staff in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities to prioritize patient care, coordinate appointments, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting.
• Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives within the oncology unit.
• Valid nursing license/registration as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner, with current certification as required by local regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent; additional oncology nursing training or certification is an advantage.
• Comfort working on-site in Bengaluru, with flexibility to support patient and research needs as required by the clinical schedule.
