We are seeking a skilled and motivated Construction Carpenter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, repairing, and maintaining structures and fixtures across various construction projects. Your expertise will help bring architectural visions to life, ensuring safety, quality, and precision at every stage. Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute construction plans.
- Perform concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry work, and plastering to support structural integrity.
- Conduct restoration tasks including water damage remediation, mold remediation, and general building repairs.
- Fabricate custom components using woodworking techniques or metal fabrication methods as needed.
- Assist with roofing installation or repair projects while adhering to safety standards.
- Handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently during material transport and assembly tasks.
- Read schematics for electrical or plumbing systems to assist in fixture installation or repairs.
- Support remodeling efforts by installing flooring, tiles, drywall, stucco finishes, or siding.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools skillfully for precise craftsmanship across various construction activities.
- Collaborate with team members on-site to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction site environments with a strong background in carpentry disciplines such as framing, trim carpentry, roofing, and drywall installation.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings essential for accurate project execution.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools (hammers, saws, chisels) and power tools (drills, saws, grinders) safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to interpret project plans accurately.
- Experience with concrete forming, masonry work, rebar installation, metal stud framing, and stucco application is preferred.
- Familiarity with restoration industry practices including water damage restoration or mold remediation is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during complex tasks.
- Strong understanding of safety standards related to construction sites; OSHA certification is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting on-site challenges.
