Role & responsibilities

We are hiring a skilled Commercial Underwriter to evaluate and manage risk for business loans/insurance proposals. The role involves detailed financial analysis and application of the 5Cs of Credit (Character, Capacity, Capital, Collateral, Conditions) to assess borrower risk and make informed underwriting decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform in-depth financial and risk analysis (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
• Evaluate proposals using the 5Cs of Credit framework
• Assess creditworthiness of commercial clients across industries
• Approve/reject cases based on risk evaluation and policy guidelines
• Ensure compliance, documentation, and portfolio quality
• Collaborate with sales, credit, and risk teams.

Requirements

• 2-6 years of experience in commercial underwriting/credit analysis
• Strong knowledge of financial statement analysis and risk assessment
• Experience in BFSI/NBFC/Insurance domain preferred
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills
