Programmer Analyst(PowerBuilder)

As a Junior Analyst/Programmer (PowerBuilder & Windows) at our client's French multinational information technology services and consulting company, headquartered in Paris, you will have the opportunity to work with the GBS-UK Development Tribe. Your role will involve gathering information, performing analysis, and eliciting user requirements, designing applications, preparing detailed specifications, writing code modules, and validating coding and testing tasks within a team. You will also liaise with clients to understand system requirements, support testing teams, and provide support for application software running in production by fixing problems and making enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather information, perform analysis, and elicit user requirements
• Design applications in line with business and operational requirements
• Prepare detailed specifications for coding
• Write code modules or objects
• Undertake analysis and validate coding and testing tasks
• Liaise with clients to understand system requirements
• Support testing teams during project testing phases
• Support application software running in production by fixing problems and making enhancements

Qualifications Required:

• Experience working in a Development Environment
• Proficiency in PowerBuilder, SQL & PL/SQL, and C++
• Enthusiasm to learn the business logic behind applications
• Ability to understand client needs and technical requirements
• Involvement in Analysis, Design, Coding, Subsystem Testing, Application Integration, and Support
• Knowledge of Agile working methods and practices
• Fluency in spoken and written English
• Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
