About The Role

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Energy Management Analyst to support the investigation, analysis, monitoring, and reporting of Energy Management Systems (EMS), including LEADER and Trip Optimizer platforms. The ideal candidate will possess strong data analytics capabilities, experience working with rail technology systems, and a solid understanding of Positive Train Control (PTC) and Energy Management Systems.

The role involves analyzing operational data, identifying trends and improvement opportunities, supporting production systems, and driving automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Support the operation, monitoring, investigation, and reporting of EMS platforms, including LEADER and Trip Optimizer.

Analyze large datasets to identify performance trends, operational issues, and optimization opportunities.

Perform root cause analysis for system issues and support resolution activities.

Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions to support business and operational decision-making.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system performance and operational efficiency.

Identify and implement automation opportunities using scripting and data analytics tools.

Ensure high-quality deliverables with a focus on accuracy, reliability, and production excellence.

Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to achieving first-time-right outcomes.

Participate in incident analysis, troubleshooting, and production support activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

4–8 years of experience in EMS, PTC, Data Analytics, or related domains.

Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, analysis, and reporting.

Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis techniques.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Experience identifying and implementing automation opportunities.

Understanding of Positive Train Control (PTC) systems and Energy Management Systems.

Preferred Skills

Strong scripting experience with Python.

Experience with Tableau for reporting and dashboard development.

Knowledge of railway operational systems, transportation analytics, or related technologies.

Familiarity with data visualization and business intelligence tools.

Proven track record of delivering zero-defect projects and achieving first-time-right production outcomes.
