Job Description
The Business Development Manager (BDM) works to improvePayentry's market position and achieve financial growth through adding newrevenue. The role of BDM is to prospect new clients and partnerships by networking,cold calling, and other means of generating interest from potential clients. This position is remote, but will need to be in a commutable distance to Rockville, MD.
Strategic planning is a key part of this role as it is theBDM's responsibility to develop a new self-generated pipeline of partners anddirect business for Payentry.
This role requires a thorough knowledge of the HCM landscape,the solutions, and services Payentry can provide, and our unique marketadvantages.
Additional duties and required skills of the BDM can besummarized below as follows:
Prospect for potential new partnerships anddirect clients and turn opportunities into increased business.
Ask for, and gain referrals as appropriate toensure a robust pipeline of opportunities and support ancillary servicesrevenue
Research and build relationships with newpartners and direct prospects.
Meet potential partners and clients by growing,maintaining, and leveraging your network.
Set up meetings between prospective decisionmakers, handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements, and workingthrough differences for successful sales.
Attend industry functions, such as associationevents and conferences, trade shows, and provide feedback and information onmarket and creative trends.
Utilize ZOHO as the CRM for tracking andrecording opportunities on a timely and accurate basis.
Polished and articulate, able to effectivelycommunicate with all levels of a corporation.
Persistent in pursuit of opportunities. Not discouraged by unresponsive prospects orobstacles encountered when prospecting.
Establishes and maintains an open, professional,and efficient means of communication with all customers, both internal andexternal. Maintains an attitude of quickly responding to internal and externalcustomer needs.
Has ability to work with minimal supervision,prioritizing workflow daily and effectively planning and organizing workresponsibilities.
Requires a proactive approach to interpretingthe client's requirements and assisting in addressing the needs whilequalifying and advancing other sales opportunities.
Education and Experience:
Business development positions require a bachelor's degreeand a minimum of 5 years of sales or marketing experience or equivalent.Minimum of 12 months of direct payroll sales experience preferred.
Experience calling on a range of small business owners toC-Suite level prospects selling SaaS applications is preferred. Networking, Prospecting, Public Speaking,Research, Writing, Closing Skills, Prospecting Skills, Sales Planning, MarketKnowledge, Meeting Sales Goals, Professionalism, CRM Management, and MicrosoftOffice.
