Role Overview:
You will be responsible for partner administration, account renewals, upgrades, customer service, and maintenance escalation activities. Your role also includes efficiently coordinating all channel partner support requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Effectively pitch, qualify, and close data center maintenance contract renewals and upgrades using technical selling skills and offering knowledge to partners.
- Sell consultatively and make recommendations to prospects and clients regarding various solutions offered by the company to address their business issues.
- Manage opportunities throughout the entire solution selling process, leveraging various sales tools and resources during the closing process.
- Identify decision makers and influencers, needs, and develop relationships with various levels of personnel within accounts. Interact with individuals and groups in various roles.
- Initiate timely communications via phone calls and on-site visits as necessary.
- Develop an annual sales plan in conjunction with the EVP of Sales, outlining activities to follow during the fiscal year to focus the Sales Associate on meeting or exceeding quota.
- Coordinate and drive strategic conversations and business initiatives between territory reps and partners.
- Develop, build, and report on the pipeline of opportunities by staying in touch with existing partner reps, field reps, and territory reps.
- Understand competitive landscape, pricing, and proposal models. Determine when to involve additional company resources to address specific sales and technical issues.
- Document activities in the CRM program.
- Stay current with industry changes in technology and influences.
- Stay current with the company's objectives and may lead the company into new, profitable revenue streams.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
- Actively participate and contribute to training and educational programs offered to company employees.
- Routinely assess time management effectiveness and address opportunities to operate more efficiently and effectively.
- Prepare reports and assist with opportunity creation and revisions as needed.
- Respond to miscellaneous channel partner and customer requests.
Qualifications Required:
- 10 years of sales experience, including IT-oriented sales. Knowledge of computers, servers, storage, and the ability to provide an integrated solution to prospects and customers is helpful.
- Prior Territory Sales Representative experience is required.
- Bachelor's degree required.
