Export Sales Manager

Role Description This is a contract, hybrid role based in Kochi, with a combination of on-site work and some flexibility to work from home. The Export Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and managing international sales channels for farm and plantation products, including prospecting, qualifying, and closing deals with overseas buyers, distributors, and importers. Day-to-day tasks include preparing export quotations, negotiating pricing and contract terms, coordinating shipment schedules, and ensuring compliance with export regulations and documentation requirements. The role involves building and maintaining relationships with key international customers, monitoring market trends and competitor activity, and providing regular sales forecasts and performance reports. The Export Sales Manager will also collaborate closely with production, logistics, and finance teams to ensure timely order fulfillment, quality standards, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Sales and International Sales, with a demonstrated ability to meet targets and grow revenue in global markets.
• Experience in Export operations, including documentation, compliance, shipping terms (Incoterms), and coordination with logistics partners.
• Proficiency in Business Planning and International Business, including market analysis, pricing strategies, and development of new territories.
• Proven experience in agricultural commodities, food products, or related export industries is highly beneficial.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-management skills, with fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities, with proficiency in CRM tools and standard office software.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Trade, Agriculture, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required, and to work effectively in a hybrid work arrangement based in Kochi.
