Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Service Counter Attendant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing food items, and managing transactions in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, cashiering, and maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in the food industry while delivering a positive experience to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist with their orders at the counter
• Prepare and assemble food items according to company standards and safety guidelines
• Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for accurate order processing and cash handling
• Manage cash register transactions efficiently, including processing payments and giving change
• Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area, kitchen equipment, and utensils
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly
• Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions or concerns professionally

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or food industry preferred
• Knowledge of POS systems, including Micros POS, is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude
• Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations
• Familiarity with food safety standards and sanitation practices
• Excellent time management skills in a fast-paced environment
• Kitchen experience or food preparation skills are advantageous
• Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively
• Prior cashiering or serving experience is desirable but not required

Pay: $15.35-$17.00 per hour
