Construction Labourer

Paragon Solar Energy is an established solar energy provider serving Lloydminster and surrounding area for over 10 years providing solar energy to homes, farms, cabins and businesses. We ensure the highest level of service and education for our customers by offering a no-nonsense approach with up front pricing design and a high level of service during installation and follow ups.

Currently we are expanding our team and looking for an experienced Solar Installers. This person would be responsible for maintaining our high company standards, with professionalism, safety and a high regard for our customers’ property. Installers will be working outdoors in all conditions doing ground, roof and off grid installations with our existing team, electricians and third-party contractors.

Responsibilities

+Accurately gathering required materials for different jobs

+Knowledge of the solar industry and system requirements

+Capable of safely handling a variety of tools and construction equipment

+Installing solar panels, inverters and battery systems, while properly sealing any perforations

+Keeping up to date on best practices for installing on different mounting systems

+Maintaining cleanliness and order in the shop, trailer and vehicles

+Offer professional service on job sites

This position will require installers to lift, stand and carry heavy objects on roofs with different slopes, heights and pitches. We work in all weather conditions including during the winter. Work can be repetitive at times. While much of our work is within a 200 km radius of Lloydminster successful candidates should be prepared for occasional out of town stays and some travel.

Qualifications

+Physically able to lift 25+ lbs

+Valid driver’s license (experience pulling a trailer is an asset)

+Experience in a construction/installation role

+Excellent communication skills

+Familiarity with solar system components

+Self starter able to work on job sites with minimal supervision

+Electrical experience is an asset.
