Music Teacher - Vocal & Instrumental

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct vocal and instrumental music classes for students across assigned grades.
• Teach music theory, rhythm, melody, pitch, notation, and performance techniques.
• Train students in singing, keyboard, guitar, percussion, or other assigned instruments.
• Identify and nurture students' musical talents through regular practice and assessments.
• Prepare students for school assemblies, annual day, cultural events, competitions, and special celebrations.
• Organize choir groups, bands, and music clubs as required.
• Maintain music instruments, teaching aids, and the music room in good condition.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and maintenance of all musical instruments and equipment.
• Develop lesson plans aligned with the school's curriculum and learning objectives.
• Assess student progress and maintain performance records.
• Encourage creativity, teamwork, discipline, and stage confidence among students.
• Coordinate with teachers for event rehearsals and performances.
• Support school functions, celebrations, summer camps, and extracurricular activities.
• Participate in arrival and dispersal duties as assigned by the school.
• Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and parent interactions whenever required.
• Perform any additional responsibilities assigned by the School Management or Principal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Music or Performing Arts (preferred).
• Certification or Diploma in Vocal and/or Instrumental Music.
• Formal training in Indian Classical, Western, or Contemporary Music is desirable.

Skills Required

• Strong vocal and instrumental teaching skills.
• Knowledge of music theory and performance techniques.
• Ability to train students for stage performances.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Creativity, patience, and enthusiasm for working with children.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and school leadership.

Experience

• 2–5 years of teaching experience in a school environment is preferred.
• Experience in conducting choirs, orchestras, bands, or cultural programs is an added advantage.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
