As a System Engineer (IC Engine Development Engineer) at PACCAR India, your role will involve providing data-driven insights, performance evaluation, and technical inputs to support the Engine Integration team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Analysing engine test and vehicle data to evaluate performance, identify anomalies, and determine root causes of deviations.
- Developing, executing, and maintaining structured test plans and documentation to support engine development and validation activities.
- Generating clear and concise technical reports summarizing test results, insights, and engineering recommendations.
- Designing and implementing automation solutions for data processing, analysis, and reporting to improve efficiency and consistency.
Qualification Required:
- B.E./M.Tech in either Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Automobile.
Key Skills:
- 3-6 years of related experience in Internal Combustion Engines Development in the Automotive domain.
- Proficiency in engine data acquisition systems like INCA, ETAS, ATI Vision, NI systems, and engineering data analysis tools such as MATLAB, Python, and Excel.
- Strong understanding of diesel engine fundamentals, combustion processes, thermodynamics, and engine subsystems.
- Ability to interpret complex engine datasets (pressure, temperature, speed, emissions) and draw engineering conclusions.
- Proven capability in structured root cause analysis and problem-solving.
- Knowledge of engine test cycles (EU, NA) and performance evaluation techniques.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and global teams.
- Demonstrated ownership, analytical thinking, and continuous improvement mindset in engineering activities.
- Secondary Skills: Familiarity with requirement and test management tools like IBM DNG/DOORS and Quality Center.
