Job Description
Job Summary: We are looking for a Quality Control professional with experience in the wiring harness industry to ensure product quality through inspection, testing, and process control. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining quality standards, identifying defects, and ensuring that harness assemblies meet customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection of wiring harness assemblies
- Inspect crimping quality, wire cutting/stripping, and connector insertion
- Verify continuity, short/open circuits, and functional testing of harness
- Ensure proper connector pinning and routing as per drawings
- Conduct visual inspection for defects such as damage, improper crimping, wrong insertion, etc.
- Maintain and update inspection reports and quality records
- Handle rejection analysis and root cause identificationImplement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)Ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards
- Support audits (internal/external/customer)
- Coordinate with production for quality improvements
- Monitor and ensure adherence to process parameters and SOPs
Required Qualifications:
Diploma / ITI in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical or any relevant trade 2–5 years of experience in Quality Control
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of wiring harness components (wires, connectors, terminals, sleeves, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, wiring diagrams, and BOM Experience in using measuring instruments (vernier caliper, pull tester, multimeter, etc.)
- Knowledge of continuity testing and electrical checks
- Familiarity with quality tools (7 QC tools, basic root cause analysis)
- Basic computer skills (Excel, reports, documentation)
Preferred / Added Advantages:
- Experience in automotive or electronics manufacturing
- Familiarity with ISO quality systems (ISO 9001 / IATF 16949)
- Exposure to audit handling and documentation
Other Requirements:
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work in shifts if required Problem-solving attitude
- Focus on quality and continuous improvement
