Job Description

SUMMARY

Provide leadership and direction necessary to sustain the company’s growth within the framework of the strategic plans and goals of the company. Carry out the plans, goals, objectives and directives of the Production Manager within the plant area.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Create and maintain a work environment that shows concern for its people and property, while promoting autonomy and growth of each individual employee

· Set-up machines and check materials to ensure accurate and smooth flow of work, and on time job completion

· Responsible for the quality of all finished products and that they are within the design specifications

· Accurately produce the products sold by sales as established by the Production Manager

· Ensure all actions are accomplished in an ethical and prudent manner

· Supervise lead hands and other gun shop employees

· Train and develop employees

· Notify Production Manager of the condition of the plant in all aspects

· Assume duties of the Gun Production Manager in his/her absence

· Oracle transaction/Inventory control duty as assigned.

· Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION

· High School Diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE

· 10 years’ experience in a machine shop and related industry

· Journeyman ticket in machining or millwright, or 5 years experience operating CNC machines and relevant experience

· Programming course or 5 years programming experience

· Supervisory experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to write and read reports and blue prints

· Excellent computer skills and able to program CNC machines

· Must be a dynamic individual who is 100% quality and customer orientated with the ability and skills to mold and motivate a team of dedicated employees

· Able to achieve goals in a timely, efficient manner

· Skilled at, and knowledge of, measuring instruments and usage

· Sufficient on Word document, Excel, and Oracle.

Pay: $34.00-$42.00 per hour
