Assistant in Nursing

The Nursing Assistant at Orange CDC supports therapists and medical staff in delivering care to children with developmental delays and special needs. The role focuses on assisting with daily care, ensuring hygiene, and supporting therapy sessions in a safe, nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the daily care of children with special needs (feeding, toileting, hygiene)
• Support therapists during sessions (occupational, speech, behavioral therapy)
• Help in handling and positioning children safely during therapy
• Monitor basic health parameters and report concerns to clinical staff
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of therapy rooms and equipment
• Assist in preparing therapy materials and activities
• Provide emotional comfort and reassurance to children
• Support parents/caregivers during visits when required
• Follow infection control, safety, and child protection protocols
• Maintain basic records and documentation

Required Qualifications

• ANM / GNM / Nursing Assistant certification or equivalent
• Experience in pediatrics, childcare, or special needs (preferred)
• Freshers with strong interest in child care may be considered

Skills & Competencies

• Compassionate and patient-friendly approach toward children
• Ability to handle children with developmental or behavioral challenges
• Good communication skills (English + local language preferred)
• Teamwork and adaptability
• Basic understanding of hygiene and healthcare practices

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹7,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
