Role Description
This is a part-time, hybrid Licensed Professional Counselor role based in New Castle, PA. The Licensed Professional Counselor will provide individual, and /or family/couples therapy to clients of diverse backgrounds and needs.
Primary responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, facilitating counseling sessions, maintaining detailed client records, and collaborating with other professionals to ensure high-quality care.
The counselor will also participate in staff meetings, case consultations, and trainings to contribute to professional growth and support team objectives.
Qualifications
- Advanced counseling skills, and active licensure
- Proficiency in conducting client assessments and developing evidence-based treatment plans
- Strong documentation and record-keeping skills; familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus
- Collaborative teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively with a team or independently
- State licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in Pennsylvania a must
- Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
- Experience working with clients across diverse age groups, cultural backgrounds, and mental health challenges
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical practices
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload
- Experience in trauma-informed care, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), or other therapeutic modalities is an advantage
