Student Assistant 1, ANR - Pesticide Safety Education

The student assistant will work flexible hours to accommodate their class schedule in the Pesticide Safety Education Program Office in 256 Howlett Hall. The job entails approximately 9-12 hours per week. The student assistant will be a junior member of the Pesticide Safety Education team, assisting with educational and promotional materials, office communications, surveys, website maintenance and data entry. The student assistant may help 1-2 times a month with physical setup and tear-down for OSU Extension workshops. They will have the opportunity to learn new software (InDesign) and work with online learning and survey platforms (Canvas, Qualtrics). The student may work for multiple semesters through graduation, if desired. Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential. Familiarity with the Canvas learning platform and Qualtrics is helpful.  

The Pesticide Safety Education Program (PSEP) is part of Ohio State University Extension and provides continuing education conferences, new applicator schools, print and web-based information for the 28,000 licensed applicators in the State of Ohio.  The program helps applicators make informed decisions about pesticides and apply them safely and effectively.  For more information about PSEP, see the website pested.osu.edu.  For more information about OSU extension see extension.osu.edu.
