Buyer - Procurement, Contracts & Logistics

Role Overview:

As a Buyer / Senior Buyer at OCS Services, you will be responsible for supporting the procurement of goods and services across projects in a timely, cost-effective, and compliant manner. You will work in a dynamic Oil & Gas environment, collaborating with project teams, vendors, logistics partners, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Forecast and plan annual procurement activities based on project inputs
• Manage day-to-day procurement activities and proactively mitigate delays
• Vet purchase requisitions and purchase orders, ensuring alignment with procurement plans and quality standards
• Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and develop reliable vendors for cost-effective sourcing
• Coordinate import/export activities, logistics arrangements, and ensure compliance with trade regulations
• Analyze procurement spend, monitor market trends, and coordinate with Finance for timely vendor payments
• Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation, and support prebid activities by providing procurement inputs

Qualifications Required:

• Diploma / BE / B.Tech (Mechanical preferred)
• 3-6 years experience in procurement within the Oil & Gas industry
• Good experience of local & international trade
• Strong knowledge of procurement practices, contract terms, and trade regulations
• Sound financial acumen and strong negotiation skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and procurement documentation
• Strong communication, coordination, and vendor-management capabilities
• Well organized, detail-oriented, and a strong team player
• Ability to review and negotiate supplier contracts confidently
