Role Overview:
As a Buyer / Senior Buyer at OCS Services, you will be responsible for supporting the procurement of goods and services across projects in a timely, cost-effective, and compliant manner. You will work in a dynamic Oil & Gas environment, collaborating with project teams, vendors, logistics partners, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Forecast and plan annual procurement activities based on project inputs
- Manage day-to-day procurement activities and proactively mitigate delays
- Vet purchase requisitions and purchase orders, ensuring alignment with procurement plans and quality standards
- Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and develop reliable vendors for cost-effective sourcing
- Coordinate import/export activities, logistics arrangements, and ensure compliance with trade regulations
- Analyze procurement spend, monitor market trends, and coordinate with Finance for timely vendor payments
- Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation, and support prebid activities by providing procurement inputs
Qualifications Required:
- Diploma / BE / B.Tech (Mechanical preferred)
- 3-6 years experience in procurement within the Oil & Gas industry
- Good experience of local & international trade
- Strong knowledge of procurement practices, contract terms, and trade regulations
- Sound financial acumen and strong negotiation skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and procurement documentation
- Strong communication, coordination, and vendor-management capabilities
- Well organized, detail-oriented, and a strong team player
- Ability to review and negotiate supplier contracts confidently
