OccuMedX Group, Inc., a national provider of employee health solutions, is seeking a Mental Health Clinician to join our construction occupational health solutions team as an Onsite Mental Health Clinician. The role involves operating an onsite mental health clinic, limited short-term counseling, mental health assessments, providing crisis intervention, and referral services. The Onsite Mental Health Clinician integrates into the construction project’s safety team to enhance worker health and safety.
Duties
- Provide one-on-one, confidential counseling sessions for employees as needed on the construction site.
- Respond to immediate mental health or emotional crises, offering short-term stabilization and support.
- Assess needs and refer employees to appropriate community resources or long-term providers when necessary.
- Maintain clear boundaries of scope of practice, offering supportive counseling rather than ongoing therapy.
- Provide education and awareness about mental health and wellness in a workplace context.
- Document sessions and referrals in accordance with professional and ethical standards.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with all applicable ethical guidelines.
- Provide ongoing education and training to workers on mental health.
- Maintain cleanliness of the onsite clinic and office.
Other Duties
- Build lasting relationships with our internal and external partners.
- Integrate with the client project team to support client objectives and programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Conditions Of Employment
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field (Required).
- Bilingual in Spanish (Preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience providing one-on-one counseling to individuals.
- Strong crisis management and de-escalation skills.
- Ability to build rapport and trust with diverse groups of employees.
- Familiarity with referral networks and local mental health resources.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a construction site environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees and clients at all levels required.
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment required.
- Must be able to adapt to changes without compromise and become proficient quickly.
- Must be able to operate effectively in unpredictable situations.
- Must adhere to all work rules, procedures, and standards.
