Senior Agronomist - Warvadi

1. Production Planning & Execution

• Oversee daily farm operations and end-to-end crop production activities
• Plan and execute crop cycles in alignment with production targets
• Ensure timely sowing, transplanting, and harvesting activities
• Monitor crop growth stages and ensure adherence to planned schedules

2. Crop Health & Yield Management

• Ensure optimal crop health through regular monitoring and field inspections
• Implement corrective actions to maintain high yield and quality standards
• Track plant growth, nutrient uptake, and overall crop performance

3. Irrigation & Fertigation Management

• Plan and execute irrigation schedules based on crop requirements and environmental conditions
• Manage fertigation programs to ensure balanced nutrient delivery
• Monitor water usage and optimize resource efficiency

4. Pest & Disease Management

• Identify pest and disease occurrences at early stages
• Plan and implement spray schedules for effective control
• Ensure proper usage of pesticides/biological inputs as per guidelines
• Maintain records of treatments and interventions

5. Data Monitoring & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of farm activities, inputs, and outputs
• Track productivity, yield data, and input consumption
• Prepare regular reports on farm performance and crop status

6. Compliance & Best Practices

• Ensure adherence to SOPs and agronomy protocols
• Follow safety standards while handling chemicals and equipment
• Maintain hygiene and quality standards across farm operations

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of agronomy, crop management, and plant nutrition
• Understanding of irrigation and fertigation systems (e.g., drip/NFT/hydroponics preferred)
• Problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to monitor and manage large-scale farm operations
• Data tracking and reporting capabilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture / Horticulture / Agronomy or related field
• Relevant experience in farm management, protected cultivation, or hydroponics preferred

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
