NURA is on a mission to increase patient safety and provide healthcare professionals with tools that minimize medication calculation, preparation, and administration errors through efficient data management and evidence-based decision-making.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and innovative team dedicated to advancing medication safety. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented pharmacist to support our lead pharmacist in maintaining and enhancing our medication database.
This role offers a unique chance to contribute meaningfully to the development of safer medication practices while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the pharmacy lead and will gain practical exposure to product design, clinical dosing standards, and medication safety optimization.
- *Position Overview**
- *Commitment:** Part-time, 10-30 hours a month. Flexible days/month.
- *Location:** Remote, based in Canada
- *Language:** English, French a strong asset
- *Responsibilities and Duties:**
- Collaborate closely with the lead pharmacist in the development, management, and maintenance of medication databases to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Participate in the testing and validation of software features related to medication safety, providing feedback to enhance functionality and usability.
- Assist in the organization, updating, and quality control of medication reference materials, guidelines, and related documentation.
- Perform additional tasks or special projects as assigned by the lead pharmacist to support the overall goals of the pharmacy team
- *Required Skills:**
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BScPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited university.
- Licensure by a Canadian provincial regulatory body.
- Strong organizational and data management skills.
- Ability to conduct comprehensive literature searches using medical databases (e.g., PubMed, Medline).
- Detail-oriented with a proactive and collaborative attitude.
- *Desired Skills:**
- Familiarity with hospital pharmacy operations and medication safety principles.
- Experience with data entry and report generation.
- Interest in healthcare informatics and process optimization.
