Field Service Mechanic

Position Summary:

We are currently recruiting a full time Mobile Equipment Service Technician/ Mechanic. This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment, hydrovacs and vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Represent NuBuild in a professional manner at each of our locations and/or jobsites.
• Troubleshooting, evaluating and diagnosis of the working condition of machinery and components (hydraulics, electrical, pneumatic, engines etc).
• Disassembling, assembling, ordering parts, and repair of all company equipment.
• Truck maintenance
• Hydrovac and machinery maintenance
• Operating with a strong safety mindset and responsibility for the effective and safe repair, maintenance, and functionality of all NuBuild equipment. Abiding by OH&SA regulations and inter-company policies, procedures, and expectations.
• Confidence and capability to utilize company provided software and applications both for diagnostics and maintenance documentation.
• Leadership in conversational skills to provide technical advice and support to Operators, Supervisors and Foreman within the company.

Qualifications & Experience:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience with certification in the Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician trade or equivalent designated trade preferred
• Valid Ontario DZ Drivers license
• Welding experience
• Advanced mechanical knowledge (electrical, hydraulics, diesel, mechanics)
• Stellar problem-solving and diagnostic skills of simple to complex issues
• Willingness to travel
• A thorough knowledge of safe operations
• The ability to work independently and making smart decisions with minimal supervision
• Strong technological capabilities

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 per week

Experience

• Heavy-Duty mechanical: 5 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Trade Certificate (preferred)
• DZ Driver's License (preferred)
