The Producer / Shooter will be based in our New York City office and report to the Head of Production & Operations and collaborating closely with the Senior Shooter/Producer.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Collaborate with the Development and Editorial teams to deliver high-quality content across a variety of formats, including digital originals, impact-focused work, and sponsored editorial projects
• Serve as videographer for assigned NowThis shoots, elevating our content through visual and audio storytelling
• Serve as an equipment and studio reservations contact
• Maintain and enhance studio and gear technologies, scheduling sessions, troubleshooting and flagging issues where necessary
• Engage with the Development, Editorial and Branded Content teams in pre-production planning to visualize and align on production equipment and material needs, facilitating smooth content creation
• Engage with the Producers and Post-Production team, facilitating a smooth transfer of raw footage
• Stay ahead of industry trends, experimenting with new technologies and techniques to keep NowThis at the forefront of digital media production and vertical video

SUCCESS WILL LOOK LIKE:

• Fostering professional relationships with producers, vendors, and leadership, ensuring collaborative success across projects
• Demonstrating flexibility and adaptability, taking on additional responsibilities as needed to meet production and team requirements
• Maintaining a forward-thinking approach, ready to adapt quickly to changes in production needs or team dynamics

MUST HAVES:

• 2+ years experience in vertical and social-first video production, including camera operation, audio recording and 3-point lighting design
• Experience shooting portrait photography with studio lighting AND natural lighting
• Experience shooting and framing for multiple aspect ratios simultaneously (16x9, 9x16, 4x5)
• Experience working in-studio
• Experience shooting on-the-street style interviews
• Proficient in Sony a7s series cameras and Rode Go microphones
• Technical proficiency in the integration and operation of industry standard digital production technologies, including cloud-based collaboration tools
• A creative eye, and a positive attitude!

Compensation & Benefits

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $81k to $90k. An employee's position within this range will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to: relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs.
