The Northtown Medical Clinic is a family practice/walk-in clinic located near Yonge and Finch in North York. We are looking to hire a medical secretary/phlebotomist for the clinic. The clinic address is: 10 Northtown Way, Unit 108 North York, ON M2N 7L4 Phone # 416-270-8781. The website is www.northtownmedical.ca. Please refer to our website to learn about the clinic and the services provided.
Essential requirements of the position are as follows:
1. Phlebotomy - must be able to take blood (preference given to candidates who are MLPAO certified, or are eligible to write the MLPAO examination). Candidates without phlebotomy experience will NOT be considered.
2. Computer literacy and proficiency - must be able to touch type and use Microsoft Word as well as use the Internet
3. English proficiency - both written and spoken
Description of the ideal candidate includes:
- Live no farther than a 45 minute commute from the clinic
- *NOTE: Our office does NOT provide parking.
- Have a good attitude - enthusiastic, friendly
- Punctual and reliable
- Quick to learn - as I will be providing extensive additional training once the candidate is hired.
- Have a genuine interest in working in the medical field.
New graduates welcome. Previous graduates who may be working elsewhere, but would like to get back into the medical field are also encouraged to apply.
Preference will be given to candidates who are available Monday-Friday 8:45-6:00pm.
This is an entry level position with starting pay at $19.00/hour, and subsequent pay increases will be based on employee performance.
