Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our Advanced Microelectronics Cell (AMEC) team as a 2nd Shift General Manufacturing Manager 2 based out of Baltimore, MD.

This role will be responsible for the direct supervision of approximately 15 - 20 represented (union) employees and processes in a Manufacturing environment. You will be expected to work independently across organizations; manage the use of consumables to achieve budget targets; assign and manage represented IBEW/SEA employees to maximize efficiency and achieve target productive yields; implement our process improvements to improve affordability, quality, and schedule; and perform required SAP/MES transactions to manage Operator and M&P Specialist. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership skills and ability, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

2nd Shift Hours – 3:00pm – 12:30am

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of professional experience in a Manufacturing, Production, or Engineering environment; Master’s Degree with 6 years of experience in a Manufacturing, Production, or Engineering environment; 12 years of work experience in a Manufacturing, Production, or Engineering environment may be considered in lieu of degree requirement
  • Experience as a functional leader
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Project Management
  • Experience with SAP/MES
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Level Security Clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active/Current U.S. Government Security Level Security Clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering, or other STEM area
  • Experience working with manufacturing equipment and processes
  • Prior experience working in a represented (union) environment
