Position Summary
Are you a Pharmacy Assistant looking to highlight your knowledge, skills, and abilities in a new and dynamic environment? We currently have an opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Pharmacy department.
Reports to the Manager or designate. Under direction from a pharmacist, dispenses, manufactures, packages, labels, stores, and distributes pharmaceuticals and prepares intravenous (IV) and total parenteral nutrition (TPN) solutions. Records narcotic and controlled drug use and maintains stock control.
Qualifications
- Grade 12, graduation from a recognized Pharmacy Assistant course plus two years recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
- Ability to type.
- Ability to organize work.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
