Job Description
Qualifications and Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Complete full comprehensive roof inspections, making specific recommendations based on your assessments
Assess roof conditions, including active leak issues, overall condition and deterioration
Inspect roof assets with a focus on what is required to preserve and extend roof life cycle
Extensive knowledge of the installation process, repair and roof modifications (curbs…) of all roofing systems (Asphalt and Gravel, Mod-bit/ SBS Membrane, EPDM, TPO and Single-ply)
Prepare, review and submit accurate cost estimates and proposals in a timely manner
Establish and maintain working relationships with clients and vendors
Create accurate roof sketches for Maintenance/Service department
Estimating and scheduling; coordinating with roofing supervisors
New sales, new roof and re-roof
Respond to emergency roof leaks or roof related issues (trouble shooting)
Ensure that all specifications, shop drawings, and scope of work are being followed through
Maintain company vehicle
Provide excellent customer service
Upgraded training as available
Travel (when required) within MB, SK and Northern ON
Requirements
Minimum 5 - 7 years’ experience in the commercial roofing industry
Red Seal Certification is an asset but not required
Driver’s license (Class 5)
Intermediate English skills
Experience reading architectural plans
Knowledge of basic computer programs and apps
Sense of urgency - with a high tolerance for ambiguity
Ability to communicate with others effectively both verbal and written
Skills to lead and train new and present crew members
Aptitude to follow safe work practices and procedures
Capability to work long days, overtime and weekends when needed
