Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources/Office Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting various HR and Office functions, including cash handling, accounting tasks, employee relations, onboarding and compliance. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels.
Responsibilities
- Administer all onboarding tasks for new hires, including 401k management as well as benefits administration, PAFs and leave management.
- Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS system, Paycom.
- Provide support for employee relations issues, addressing concerns promptly and professionally, as well as handling disciplinary issues, investigations and terminations.
- Daily cash handling, tips, supply orders, invoicing and other light accounting duties.
- Oversight of Payroll, tips and attendance.
- Handle workers comp claims.
- Other duties given by General ManagerRequirements
Requirements
- Proven experience in HR and with accounting experience for at least 2-3 years in restaurant or hospitality industries.
- Familiarity with Paycom a plus.
- Understanding of DC labor laws and compliance.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and lead by example.
