Purpose of the Role:
We have an exciting co-op opportunity within our Client Services team for a student in their 3rd or 4th year of post-secondary studies specializing in Finance, Economics, or Business. This role is ideal for someone eager to apply their academic knowledge in a professional setting while contributing to a dynamic, client-focused environment.
The Client Service team is responsible for providing exceptional service to our high-net-worth clients. The team is collaborative and client-focused, and utilizes exceptional communication, problem-solving and relationship management skills and in-depth product and industry knowledge to provide excellent service to clients and our advisors.
This position is an 8-month co-op term starting in September 2026 and ending May 2027. This is a primarily in-office role, requiring 4 days per week in our Vancouver office, with 1 day of remote flexibility.
Core Responsibilities:
- Ensure client accounts are compliant by completing regulatory required documentation.
- Provide administrative expertise and deliver a high level of personalized client service.
- Execute on client requests for non-financial changes.
- Liaise with custodians and insurance carriers to execute on client requests in a timely manner; proactively escalating where necessary to ensure strict adherence to service level agreements.
- Maintain client data and perform data integrity checks for quality control.
- Provide back up support to other team members as necessary.
- Other relevant and related responsibilities, as assigned and as the needs of the organization change.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Enrolled in 3rd or 4th year of studies in a post-secondary degree or diploma in Finance, Economics or Business.
- Exceptional attention to detail and consistent highly accurate work
- Strong client service / client relations skills and prior experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office including MS word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience and/or keen interest in the financial services industry.
- Experience with a CRM database, Salesforce preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
- A self-starter with the ability to take initiative and think critically to seek out information and solutions independently.
- Experience working independently, as well as in partnership with other team members.
- The ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced, entrepreneurial environment requiring strong organization, time management and prioritization skills with the confidence to adapt to change as necessary.
Compensation & Benefits Package:
This position comes with a competitive base salary hiring range of $26/hour, dependent on experience, skills, qualifications and internal equity.
