The Specialist, Procurement position will be based in Hyderabad, India . In this position, you will report to the Senior Manager, Procurement. Specialist Procurement plays a key role in driving procurement excellence within the global P2P function. The role demands strong ownership of end-to-end procurement activities, effective cross-functional coordination, and proactive stakeholder engagement. This position will support complex, high impact purchasing operations, ensuring process accuracy, cost efficiency, and business continuity for global projects. This role is ideal for a procurement professional who has demonstrated strong analytical ability, initiative, and leadership readiness and is prepared to manage global processes with minimal supervision. Here is a glimpse of what you will do:
- Procurement Leadership: Own the full procurement lifecycle from requisition, sourcing, and PO issuance to closure ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with purchasing standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Planning, Engineering, Logistics, and Finance teams to address BOM variances, material delays, and supplier performance gaps.
- Global Process Ownership: Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) for specialized procurement streams such as the OJJO process, ensuring 100% accuracy and adherence to KPIs.
- Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate regular coordination meetings with internal teams and suppliers to drive resolution of open items and ensure transparent communication.
- Supplier Engagement: Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery timelines with suppliers to optimize value and strengthen long-term relationships.
- Process Compliance: Maintain complete adherence to procurement policies, audit standards, and ERP (NetSuite) documentation accuracy.
- Problem Solving & Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve issues across planning, suppliers, and logistics to minimize business impact and ensure process stability.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Track supplier past-due items, analyze purchasing metrics, and report performance trends for management review.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to streamline procurement processes, eliminate inefficiencies, and enhance operational quality.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to junior analysts, promoting best practices in procurement operations and data management.
Here is some of what you will need (required):
- Graduate with (4-6) years of experience in procurement operations (P2P process).
- Excellent negotiation and analytical skills with strong business acumen.
- Proven experience in cross-functional coordination and issue resolution.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on process accuracy and compliance.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and advanced MS Excel reporting.
- Experience in vendor management.
- Flexible to work in US time zone.
