Digital Services Manager

Role Overview:

You will be the Services Owner for IBM i and z platforms (formerly iSeries/AS400 and Mainframe) for a large Automotive client. Your responsibilities will include overseeing operations, performance management, vendor governance, and hosting services. This is a fully remote role based in India for a 6-12 month contract starting ASAP.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the global Service Owner for IBM i and IBM z platforms, collaborating with suppliers, internal platform architects, security, and service management teams
• Ensure day-to-day service operations deliver high availability, reliability, and security
• Manage and govern the hosting provider, including SLA oversight, financial tracking, and continuous service improvement
• Define and execute the service roadmap aligned with business objectives and IT strategy
• Support incident management and maintain operational stability
• Collaborate with architecture, security, and service management teams for cohesive service delivery

Qualification Required:

• Senior-level experience as Hosting Service owner in a global outsourced IT environment, preferably IBM i and IBM z
• Strong vendor management skills including SLAs, RCA follow-up, performance, and contract adherence
• Proven ability in managing platform availability, reliability, performance, and security
• Experience in developing service roadmaps, continuous improvement, and cost optimization
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical topics for non-technical audiences
• Self-driven, structured, persistent, and methodical working style
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, cross-functional environment
• Relevant academic background in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
