What You’ll Be Doing – and Why It Matters:
You’ll be in the field enough to stay grounded in the work, and in the branch enough to lead effectively, planning, coaching, and strengthening your region for long-term success.
Your Impact Will Include:
- Grow and support your region by leading day to day service operations and strengthening customer relationships.
- Lead, coach, hire, and develop technicians, ensuring they have the skills, training, and support to excel.
- Oversee commissioning, repairs, and maintenance work, maintaining NEXT’s standards for safety, quality, and execution.
- Review and approve job packages, ensuring quotes, invoices, and work performed align accurately.
- Coordinate service activities, manage costs, and maintain healthy utilization across your team.
- Ensure operational readiness, including safe work practices, equipment condition, and technician preparedness.
You’ll influence revenue, customer loyalty, safety performance, and the overall success of your technicians. Your fingerprints will be everywhere.
What Your First Year Looks Like:
First 90 Days: You’ll learn the region, the people, the processes, and begin taking the lead on coordination, customer interactions, and team support.
6 Months: You’ll be fully owning day-to-day operations, coaching your team, reviewing job packages, and driving utilization and quality metrics.
12 Months: You will be recognized as the operational anchor of your region, a trusted leader who delivers results and builds strong teams. You’ll be influencing strategy, helping grow your technician base, strengthening customer loyalty, and improving processes.
What You Bring:
- Journeyman certification (Gas Compression, Heavy Duty, or Millwright)
- Strong working knowledge of natural gas compressor systems
- Experience commissioning, servicing, or overhauling the equipment we operate
Nice-to-Haves:
- 3-5 years in a similar lead/foreman role
- 10+ years in natural gas compression
- Valid H2S, First Aid, WHMIS, TDG, CSO
- Confined space certification
- Audiogram testing (can be provided)
