Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Media Relations Manager role based in Ahmedabad. The Media Relations Manager will build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and key media outlets across print, digital, and broadcast channels. Daily responsibilities include developing and executing media relations strategies, drafting and distributing press releases, and securing high-quality coverage for clients and the company. The role involves coordinating interviews and media briefings, preparing media kits and talking points, and monitoring news and industry trends to identify timely PR opportunities. The Media Relations Manager will collaborate closely with account, content, and product teams to align messaging, manage media inquiries, track campaign performance, and provide clear reports and insights to internal stakeholders and clients.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Media Relations and Public Relations, with a track record of securing coverage and managing media interactions.
- Proficiency in Press Releases and Strategic Communications, including drafting compelling narratives and aligning messages with brand and business goals.
- Experience in Corporate Communications, including internal and external messaging, executive visibility, and reputation management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences and channels.
- Prior experience in PR, communications, or a related field, ideally within media, advertising, or technology sectors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
- Strong stakeholder management, organizational, and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple campaigns and deadlines.
- Familiarity with media monitoring tools, analytics, and reporting to measure impact and optimize PR efforts.
