Job Overview

New Horizon Scholars School Rodas is inviting applications for the post of Lab Assistant to support the Science Department across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. The candidate should be experienced, safety-conscious, and enthusiastic about working in an academic environment.

Qualifications & Skills

• Educational Qualification:
• Bachelor’s degree in Science (B.Sc.) with specialization in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or related field.
• Additional lab safety or technician certification (preferred but not mandatory).
• Experience:
• 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in a school science laboratory or similar environment.
• Skills Required:
• Working knowledge of school-level science experiments.
• Ability to handle chemicals and scientific instruments with care.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Clear communication and ability to coordinate with faculty and students.
• Understanding of lab safety procedures and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist science teachers during practical classes across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
• Prepare and set up laboratory materials, equipment, chemicals, and specimens prior to lessons.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in all science labs.
• Organize and label chemicals and specimens appropriately.
• Monitor the proper usage and storage of lab instruments and glassware.
• Maintain an updated inventory of lab equipment and supplies.
• Follow all safety and hygiene protocols strictly.
• Assist with demonstrations and help students with lab work when needed.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks of lab equipment and report faults.
• Dispose of waste material and expired chemicals safely, following environmental and safety norms.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
