Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic/Millwright to join our team in Fort McMurray. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty equipment, including pumps, generators, dredges, compressors, and a multitude of other mining equipment. You will work closely with our customers to ensure their equipment is operating efficiently and reliably.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and perform preventative maintenance on heavy-duty equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Repair and replace faulty components and parts.
- Perform welding, machining, and fabrication tasks as required.
- Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, services, and parts used.
- Provide excellent customer service and support.
Qualifications
- Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic or Millwright certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
- Strong knowledge of pumps, dredges, light plant, and mine equipment.
- Experience working with John Deere Industrial, Kubota Industrial, ZF Marine, Kohler Industrial, and Hagler Systems equipment is highly desirable, but not a pre-requisite, with the opportunity for training is provided.
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license.
