We need a detail-oriented and logical programmer who loves to be part of a team and is comfortable collaborating across multiple areas of the organization. Passion for software development and automation is a must-have!   What You'll Do <ul> <li style="font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Provide guidance and support to junior QA engineers; share best practices, testing techniques, and knowledge with the QA team.</li> <li style="font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Develop detailed test plans and strategies based on project requirements and specifications; design comprehensive test cases and scenarios to cover functional and non-functional requirements; ensure complete coverage of all the use cases, test cases, and workflows.</li> <li style="font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Execute manual and automated tests, ensuring thorough coverage of the application; perform different types of testing such as functional, regression, performance, usability, and security testing.</li> <li style="font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Identify areas for improvement in QA processes and methodologies; stay updated with industry trends and incorporate new tools and practices into the QA process.</li> <li style="font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Identify, document, and track software defects using appropriate tools; collaborate with development teams to reproduce, diagnose, and resolve issues.</li> <li style="font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Collect and analyze quality metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of testing efforts; generate test reports and provide quality assessments to stakeholders; work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on quality goals; participate in design and code reviews to provide feedback from a QA perspective.</li> <li style="font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Evaluate and recommend QA tools and technologies; Ensure the QA environment and tools are properly set up and maintained; identify and assess risks associated with software releases and deployments; develop mitigation strategies to address potential quality issues; ensure that software meets regulatory standards and industry best practices; implement and enforce QA standards and guidelines within the team.</li> <li style="font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Understand customer requirements and ensure that deliverables meet their expectations; act as a liaison between customers and the development team to address quality concerns.</li> <li style="font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Develop and maintain automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency; Integrate automated tests into continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.</li> </ul>   What You Bring <ul> <li>BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.</li> <li>4+ years of experience in software testing or SDET roles.</li> <li>High proficiency in computer technology and advanced programming ability with Python, Java, Go or other general-purpose programming languages. </li> <li>Practical experience testing cloud infrastructure(AWS preferred).</li> <li style="font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Solid API/Security testing and automation skills.</li> <li style="font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Hands-on experience with CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.) and release engineering (pipelines, artifacts, approvals, progressive delivery).</li> <li style="font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Strong understanding of networking (TLS, DNS, load balancing).</li> <li style="font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Experience with virtualization technologies, specifically VMware (vSphere/ESXi) and Microsoft Hyper-V.</li> <li style="font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Experience working in high-scale SaaS environments or large-scale distributed systems.</li> <li style="font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Strong written and verbal English communication skills.</li> <li style="font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Keen attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.</li> <li style="font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Manual Dexterity: Repetitive motion of wrists, hands and fingers for using a computer.</li> <li style="font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Stationary Tasks: Sitting for extended periods, remaining in a stationary position.</li> <li style="font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Able to work in our Toronto, ON office on a hybrid schedule</li> </ul>   What We Offer Our comprehensive compensation package is vital in how we recognize the impact that our people make in helping us achieve our goals. For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $105,000 - $130,000 plus potential bonus. The actual salary may vary based on a range of factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. Please note that the range provided is a guideline, and may be modified.
