We’re working with a power technology company seeking a Technical Support Engineer to support substation automation and power monitoring products. Based in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, this role focuses on helping customers troubleshoot technical issues, testing product updates, and supporting the performance of advanced power system technologies.

You’ll work closely with engineering and development teams while acting as a key technical resource for customers using automation and monitoring systems in utility and industrial environments.

What You’ll Do

• Provide technical support to customers using substation automation and power monitoring products.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues by replicating customer environments in a lab setting.
• Work with engineering and development teams to diagnose issues and deliver solutions.
• Test new product updates and firmware releases to help ensure reliability and performance.
• Document technical findings and create clear support notes for internal teams and customers.
• Build strong product knowledge across multiple power system technologies.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for resolving technical challenges.
• Solid computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office tools.
• Knowledge of electric power systems or power metering technologies.
• Experience working within the electric utility or power industry, particularly with three-phase systems.
• Familiarity with SCADA environments or communication protocols such as IEC 61850, DNP3, or Modbus.
• Background in IT systems or networking concepts.
