Job Description
NEMT is currently seeking full-time non-emergency medical transportation drivers who are compassionate, caring, reliable, and responsible. Drivers will transport members to and from medical appointments (hospital, dialysis center, physical therapy, cancer treatment center, etc.) in a safe, secure and professional manner.
Job Responsibilities
- Transporting clients to appointments, treatments, and dialysis utilizing company vehicles in a safe and professional manner.
- Effectively communicate with dispatch regarding schedule progress and to receive instructions.
- Maintain a professional image and attitude in regard to clients and coworkers.
- Complete daily vehicle pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
- Assist clients as needed to safely enter and exit the vehicle and to and from their destinations.
- Understand and operate GPS on a cell phone.
- Understand and utilize the transportation app provided.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- NO FELONIES
- Valid Driver's License
- Good Driving Record
- Must be able to pass a 10-panel drug test
- Must have a clean background
Driver Qualifications
- Must have previous customer service experience with a good track record of assisting customers in a thoughtful, caring, and timely manner
- Must possess a valid Drivers License and NOT been suspended.
- Must be available to work varying hours M-F between 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Must have a stable work history with a track record of being reliable and ON-TIME
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must be able to assist members onto and off the vehicle
- Must be able to communicate with the dispatcher throughout the dayTransport Driver
Other Duties:
- Safely and efficiently transport passengers to their destinations
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
- Follow designated routes and schedules
