Job Description
Social Media Lead — Content & Short-Form Video We are looking for a Social Media Lead to own and grow NB Media's Instagram presence end-to-end. This is a writing-first role — we want someone who thinks in hooks, captions, and scroll-stopping scripts, not just someone who schedules posts. You'll lead a small content team, set the creative direction for the channel, and be personally responsible for the words that go out every day. This role is focused exclusively on Instagram. No YouTube, no other platforms.
What You’ll Do
● Own NB Media's Instagram strategy, content calendar, and day-to-day publishing
● Write scripts for Reels — punchy hooks, tight narratives, strong CTAs
● Craft captions, carousel copy, and story content that drives saves, shares, and follows
● Lead a small team of editors and creators; review their work, give creative feedback, and maintain a consistent brand voice
● Analyze performance data (reach, watch time, engagement, follower growth) and use it to refine the content approach
● Stay ahead of Instagram trends, audio, formats, and algorithm changes, and translate them into ideas that fit our brand
● Coordinate with video editors and designers to bring scripts to life
● Manage the community — DMs, comments, collabs, and influencer outreach when needed
Who We are Looking For
● 3+ years of hands-on social media experience, with a strong portfolio of Instagram content (Reels especially)
● A genuine writing background — copywriting, content writing, scriptwriting, or journalism
● Proven track record of growing or significantly contributing to an Instagram channel
● Sharp instincts for short-form video: hooks, pacing, retention
● Experience leading or mentoring a small content team
● Fluent English writing skills; Hindi fluency is a strong plus
● Comfortable with Instagram Insights, Meta Business Suite, and basic content tools (Canva, CapCut, etc.)
Must-Have Skills
● Strong storytelling and scriptwriting ability
● Deep understanding of Instagram trends and content formats
● Ability to think both creatively and strategically
● Experience working with content teams (creators/editors)
● Good communication and ownership mindset
