Sales Engineer bridges the gap between deep technical expertise and customer needs. They partner with the sales team to translate complex features into business value. Their core duties include delivering product demonstrations, answering technical questions, and helping clients configure solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Demos: Lead engaging, customized technical presentations and software/hardware demonstrations.Consultative Selling: Collaborate with potential clients to understand their pain points and engineer tailored solutions.Technical Validation: Manage the proof-of-concept (POC) phase and overcome technical objections during the deal cycle.Proposal Development: Assist account executives by writing cost-benefit analyses, pricing models, and detailed technical proposals.Product Feedback: Relay client feature requests and technical bottlenecks to the internal product and engineering teams.Essential RequirementsEducation: Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related STEM field.Communication: Exceptional ability to distill complex technical jargon into clear, relatable business impacts.Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to design custom client solutions and troubleshoot pre-sales issues.Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to build rapport and trust with both C-level executives and technical end-users.Typical KPIs & MetricsQuota attainment (meeting revenue goals)Deal win-rateProof of concept (POC) success rateDemo-to-close conversion ratio
