Company Overview:

Nationwide Paper Ltd is a UK-based group of companies operating in the paper and packaging sector. The group manages multiple entities and maintains a strong focus on financial discipline, regulatory compliance, and efficient accounting systems to support business growth and operational transparency.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Bookkeeper to manage daily accounting operations for the group companies. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting UK accounting processes, and ensuring proper financial documentation.

Candidates with ERP system knowledge will be given priority, as the role involves working within structured accounting and enterprise systems used by the group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for group companies in line with UK accounting practices.
  • Record daily financial transactions including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
  • Maintain purchase and sales ledgers, including invoice processing and reconciliation.
  • Perform bank reconciliations.
  • Maintain proper documentation of financial records and accounting data.
  • Assist with VAT-related bookkeeping records and financial reporting support.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure accurate financial data capture.
  • Assist senior accountants and management during audits or financial reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
  • At least 1 year of UK accounting or bookkeeping experience is mandatory.
  • Candidates with ERP system knowledge will be given priority (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, Business Central, or similar).
  • Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage will be advantageous.
  • Basic understanding of UK VAT processes and financial record keeping.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (Commerce Graduate).
  • Degree must be obtained through regular full-time academic study (distance or remote education will not be considered).

Candidate Profile:

  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
  • Ability to work in a structured, office-based environment.

Work Arrangement:

Job location: Ahmedabad, India

This is a full-time office-based role. Work from home or remote working is not permitted.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
