Job Summary
The Engineer I is part of a unit designing excavation shoring projects, working under a Professional Engineer. Ensures that engineering design, complies with the project objective and contractual requirements i.e. project schedule, company standards, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Design excavation shoring plans.
- Provide advice and assistance to personnel on all matters about engineering.
- Solve customer needs with equipment rented and designed by NTS.
- Communicate with Sales on the best solution for the customer’s needs.
- Plan, schedule, and provide work direction when required for preparation of designs, processes, and related data.
- Bring elements of a project together, makes certain that all elements proceed satisfactorily on schedule and initiates corrective action as required.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of statics and mechanics of materials
- Analytical problem-solving and presentation skills
- Communication - verbal and written.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural/Geotechnical Engineering
- Associated classes: Statics, Steel Design, Concrete Design, Foundations, or Geotechnical Design
