Role Description
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Correspondent to join our team in a full-time capacity. This on-site position, based in Navi Mumbai, involves researching and writing high-quality content about the automotive industry.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive all editorial content for the MotorOctane website — planning, writing, publishing, and maintaining content quality and consistency
- Author long-form car reviews, first drives, and road tests with depth and accuracy suited to an informed automotive audience along with short form content
- Attend car launches, press drives, and industry events, delivering timely cross-platform coverage — written articles, social copy, and input for video scripts where needed
- Coordinate with the video and social teams to ensure website content is aligned with and amplifies on-platform storytelling
- Develop and maintain an editorial calendar in sync with the broader content pipeline — launches, seasonal trends, buying guides, comparisons
- Build and manage relationships with OEM PR teams to ensure MotorOctane is consistently on invite lists and receives early access
- Monitor automotive industry news and trends, identifying stories relevant to the MotorOctane audience before they peak
- Uphold editorial standards across all website output — fact-checking, tone, SEO basics, and brand voice
- Contribute to audience growth on the website through SEO-informed content strategy and traffic analysis
- Occasionally support the video team on-ground at events as a correspondent or on-camera contributor where needed
