Job Description
The Team:
The Enterprise Resilience & Physical Security team is responsible for safeguarding Morningstar’s offices, employees, and assets through the design, implementation, and day-to-day management of physical security programs across global locations. The team works closely with Facilities, IT, People & Culture, and other business functions to ensure a safe, secure, and resilient workplace while maintaining compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies.
The Role:
Morningstar is seeking a Security Analyst to support and execute the day-to-day physical security operations at our Mumbai office. In this role, you will serve as the primary local point of contact for security matters, managing security systems, responding to incidents, and supporting employees with security-related requests. You will play a key role in maintaining operational efficiency of security platforms, ensuring compliance with policies, and promoting a strong culture of security awareness across the organization. You will also collaborate with regional and global teams on security initiatives, incident management, and continuous improvement of security processes.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary operational point of contact for day-to-day physical security matters at the Mumbai office and coordinate with regional sites
- Monitor and respond promptly to security alerts, alarms, and notifications
- Conduct regular operational checks of security systems, including CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection systems
- Support the Facilities team in managing access control systems, including access requests, audits, and compliance checks
- Manage and maintain security technology platforms such as VMS and intrusion monitoring tools
- Conduct periodic access reviews to ensure adherence to least-privilege principles and security policies
- Maintain accurate records, logs, and documentation of security system activities
- Promote a positive security culture and act as a visible point of contact for employee security concerns
- Support security awareness initiatives, including training, campaigns, and internal communications
- Assist in developing awareness content such as emails, intranet updates, and digital signage
- Act as on-site coordinator for security incidents and escalate issues as appropriate
- Prepare detailed incident reports including timelines, actions taken, and follow-ups
- Assist with investigations related to security incidents, access anomalies, and policy violations
- Coordinate access for vendors, contractors, and service personnel in collaboration with Facilities
- Support physical security risk assessments and site evaluations
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and local laws
- Liaise with building management, local authorities, and internal stakeholders on security matters
- Support security-related projects, system upgrades, and new office setups
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Facilities, IT, People Team, and Legal
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; preferred in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or related field
- 1–3 years of experience in physical or corporate security operations within a professional environment
- Experience with access control and video surveillance platforms (e.g., Lenel, Genetec, Milestone, Honeywell, Acre, Arcules, or similar)
- Proficiency in CCTV/VMS platforms and security monitoring tools
- Familiarity with physical security regulations in India, including the Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act, 2005, and Maharashtra regulations
- Working knowledge of fire safety, emergency response, and evacuation procedures
- Experience working with security dashboards, reporting tools, or ticketing systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate documentation
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Service-oriented approach with professionalism and responsiveness
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in assessing and escalating risks
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and global teams
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism in handling confidential information
- Certifications such as PSP, CPP, or equivalent are an added advantage
