Role Overview:
You will be part of the Credit Operations Mumbai Analytics team at Morningstar DBRS, supporting the efficient delivery of credit ratings and information to the market. Your role will involve providing data, research, and financial modeling support for analysts, focusing on in-depth fundamental analysis of Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) to produce credit reports. This position is based in the Navi Mumbai office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a strong understanding of credit analysis processes
- Support global analytical teams by monitoring news and events affecting REITs
- Assist in creating and updating financial models, reconciling data, and maintaining historical financial results and credit metrics
- Conduct industry research by reviewing company filings, presentations, and publications
- Collect, organize, and analyze data for company-specific and industry reports
- Summarize credit and legal documentation
- Aid in preparing credit rating memos and rationales
- Maintain operational databases to support the credit rating process
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies
Qualifications Required:
- Masters or Postgraduate in Management (Finance), CA, CFA Level 3, or equivalent
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in capital markets, Real Estate sector/REITs, corporate credit analysis, or auditing corporate financial statements
- Good knowledge of finance and accounting concepts, U.S. GAAP, and/or IFRS
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in English with excellent communication skills
- Self-motivated, positive attitude, and strong work ethic
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver results on time
- Good interpersonal skills and teamwork capabilities
