Job Overview

MJR Farms is seeking a dynamic and motivated Heavy Equipment Operator/Labourer to join our Modern Farm team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction projects & farm duties, utilizing a variety of heavy machinery. The ideal candidate will be energetic, safety-conscious, and eager to contribute to a fast-paced environment where teamwork and precision are key. Your expertise will help ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.

Duties

• Operate a range of heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, along with Farm equipment to assist with field work
• Assist with site preparation, grading, excavation, and material handling to support construction activities
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on all machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance
• Collaborate with team members to execute construction tasks efficiently while adhering to project timelines
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures diligently to maintain a secure work environment
• Support general labour tasks on-site such as loading/unloading materials, site cleanup, and assisting skilled trades as needed
• At times will assist with labour jobs on farm such as, work in the shop maintaining equipment, help in the manufacturing shop, Barn help, and general yard upkeep work.

Requirements

• Proven experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, tankers, and paving machines. we are willing to train but experience is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of construction equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Not necessary but an asset.
• Must have minimum a valid G drivers License but DZ or AZ would be very helpful.
• Construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with safety standards and operational procedures
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions with stamina and focus
• Attitude is key for our team, must be willing to show up every day with a good attitude.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.80-$39.92 per hour

Expected hours: 38 – 60 per week
